Job Summary:

The IT Contracts Specialist is responsible for drafting, reviewing, and finalizing Statements of Work (SOWs) and amendments for various IT engagements, including Managed Services, Fixed Fee, and Staff Augmentation. This role requires collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure contract accuracy, compliance, and alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring strong legal acumen, negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to contract management.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive Contract Excellence
Facilitate stakeholder meetings to gather and clarify business requirements and specifications.
Prepare, negotiate, and manage IT Professional/Consulting Services contracts.
Provide training to service delivery teams on contract processes and compliance.
Review redlines, identify issues, and escalate as necessary.
Compare amendments with original SOWs and supporting documents.
Validate resource plans against existing rate cards.
Support high-value engagements exceeding $100M.
Assist in updating SOPs, training materials, and contract templates. Ensure Value Delivery
Ensure inclusion of service levels, metrics, and reporting requirements in SOWs.
Support issue resolution and administer vendor management exceptions.
Incorporate lessons learned into process improvements and contract updates. Improve Contract Management
Perform administrative tasks such as meeting coordination, document tracking, and contract formatting.
Monitor and prioritize incoming SOW review requests.
Manage document version control and maintain shared file structures.
Provide regular status updates and participate in team meetings.
Develop and implement service level targets for labor engagements.
Collaborate with Legal and Procurement on high-profile agreements and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide subject matter expertise on labor contracting best practices.
Support special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in IT corporate contracts.
4-6 years of experience drafting, negotiating, and executing IT Professional Services contracts.
Hands-on experience with T&M, Fixed Fee, and Managed Services contract types.
Strong understanding of legal terms, contract principles, and risk mitigation strategies (e.g., SLAs, KPIs).
Experience working directly with attorneys and third parties in advisory and negotiation roles.
Bachelor’s Degree, Law Degree, or Paralegal experience (required).
Proficiency in Microsoft Word (including redlining and formatting), Excel, and online research.
Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple contracts and projects under tight deadlines.
High level of responsiveness, attention to detail, and customer service orientation.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ServiceNow and Jira.
Familiarity with Agile Kanban methodologies.
Experience developing service levels and integrating them into governance processes.
