TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Position Summary Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical and audio-visual support to our Team Members and Residents by troubleshooting and resolving issues with our IT systems. Job Specific Duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Provides technical support for Team Members and Residents Accepts and completes incoming work orders in the Worx hub system Records events and problems and the resolution in the Worx hub system Ensures that Help Desk ticket information is current, accurate and complete Performs installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of desktop technology hardware Installs, configures, and provides support for software applications Sets up and supports company cell phones and tablets Supports both wireless and wired networks Troubleshoots connectivity issues Assists Team Members with the setup and use of presentation equipment Provides audio and video support for events upon request; including creating and editing videos Installs and configures all printers, copiers, faxes and scanners Supports all hardware and software in the business center Creates and copies major print projects for North Hill Supports and troubleshoots M365 and office applications (Teams, Forms, SharePoint etc.) Diagnoses/resolves basic computer technical issues. Refill to full, all paper and toner, multi-function floor printers Meets department uniform, appearance, hygiene, and grooming requirements Supervisory Responsibilities None Required Skills and Abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality and strong customer support skills Complies with protection of health information (HIPAA) safeguards Ability to work independently with limited supervision Work professionally with people from a wide variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with Team Members, Residents, family members, visitors, and the general public When working in Resident areas, must be able to communicate effectively in English Attends and participates in in-service educational classes, Healthcare Academy and staff meetings as directed Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required Associate degree in computer science or technology, preferred Help Desk experience required 1 year of technical experience supporting hardware and software in multi-user networked environment Experience deploying and supporting Windows 10, Windows 11 & Mac OS 10.x devices Experience with Apple and Android cell phones and tablets Basic Network LAN, WAN and TCP/IP concepts Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear.
