Overview of the role The IT Support team maintains Escher’s computer networks, providing technical support and ensuring the company runs smoothly. IT Support monitors and maintains the company computer systems, installs and configures hardware and software, and solves technical problems.

Duties of role:

Diagnose and resolve computer problems and service requests from staff in a courteous, timely and effective manner. Perform remedial repairs on computer hardware, servers and printers Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems associated with network connectivity and computer hardware/software Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems/VMs, networks, printers and scanners Procure software/hardware. Configure and ship computer equipment (when required) Perform preventative maintenance, including patching, checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, peripherals and servers Network firewall and switch administration and maintenance Administer the technology access of employees, contractors, interns, clients and vendors, to network, e-mail, and essential applications. Administration of Active Directory, File & Print services, DNS, DHCP, cloud-based VMs Follow established procedures for asset procurement: purchase of software, services and equipment, including Purchase Order creation, tracking, and management Follow established procedures for staff onboarding and offboarding tasks. Follow established procedures for asset management, including record, track, maintain, repair, securely dispose of equipment inventory, along with software licenses Follow established procedures for monitoring security of network and computers Support bi-annual security & privacy audits Ensure company safety and security standards are met in accordance with policies and procedures Ensure confidentiality within all areas of responsibility Occasional weekend and after hours’ work may be required during critical and projects/upgrades.

Minimum Requirements:

Ability to work from Boston office 1-3 years experience supporting Microsoft Windows environment 1-3 years experience supporting Microsoft Azure environment Experience troubleshooting hardware issues and replacing hardware on both desktops and laptops, Experience installing software, patches, updates on desktops, and laptops. Experience troubleshooting basic network, software and printing problems. Customer focus and dedication to customer satisfaction essential. Strong initiative, self-motivation, and ability to complete tasks on time. Excellent oral and written communication skills and phone manner. The position’s responsibilities require analysis, communication and problem solving Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment. Strong attention to detail required
