General Summary :

The IT Help Desk Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of all IT systems and technologies used by the credit union staff. This position will provide technical support for internal users, resolve hardware and software issues, and manage tickets through the IT ticketing system. The technician will serve as a key point of contact for help desk services, working to ensure staff can provide uninterrupted support to members.

Essential Functions :
IT Help Desk:

Provide in-person, phone, and remote technical assistance to staff members with troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.

Ticket Management:

Monitor and manage IT support tickets using the internal IT ticketing system. Prioritize, troubleshoot, and escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate team members or management.

Software Support:

Assist staff with issues related to business-critical software applications, including installation, updates, troubleshooting, and user guidance.

Hardware Support:

Diagnose and resolve hardware problems related to computers, peripherals, and other office technology. Perform repairs or coordinate with vendors for necessary repairs or replacements.

IT System Maintenance:

Support regular maintenance and upgrades to IT infrastructure, ensuring all systems are running smoothly and securely for the staff’s use.

User Training & Documentation:

Provide basic training to staff on software, hardware, and systems. Create and maintain user-friendly documentation for common technical issues and solutions.

Security Support:

Assist with maintaining cybersecurity standards by ensuring staff adhere to IT security policies and reporting any potential security concerns or vulnerabilities.

Collaborative Support:

Work closely with other IT team members to identify, document, and resolve recurring technical issues. Offer feedback on process improvements for help desk operations. Ensure that the technical needs of staff are promptly met so they can provide quality service to members without interruption. All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements :

Proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative. Excellent organization, problem-solving, and communication skills. Occasional branch travel. Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams. Demonstrate follow-through, problem-solving, prioritization, and independent work. High school Diploma required; 1-2 years of Information Technology, financial services, or customer service experience preferred. Ability to respond quickly and effectively to member and department needs and adapt to changing requirements.

Physical Requirements :
General Office Duties :

Ability to sit or stand at a desk for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hours per day) Regular use of a computer and office equipment (e.g., phone, printer, copier). Manual dexterity required for typing and data entry.

Physical Activity :

Occasional walking, bending, or reaching. Ability to lift and carry equipment and office supplies 40 pounds.

Vision and Hearing :

Clear vision required to read computer screens and other office materials. Hearing ability sufficient to hold conversations over the phone and in person.
