You will complete regular firmware updates and update virus protection software. Lifecycle and legacy plans
System critical spares management
Replacing and rebuilding servers, workstations and networking hardware as equipment is superseded and vendor support is longer available DeltaV System Software Base operating system version upgrades, service packs, patches and fixes
Virus protection pattern files. Application Software Network security and user management
Maintaining configuration object libraries and standards
Implementing changes to align with process plant equipment modifications and upgrades and to accommodate process improvement initiatives Alarm Management Alarm attributes
Record logging systems
Analysis software, frequency and procedures
Maintain the plant within a safe operating envelope
Recognize and act to avoid hazardous situations
Identify deviations from desired operating conditions that could lead to financial loss.
Understand complex process conditions. Control Loop Tuning Development and maintenance of control loop functional specification.
Prepare control strategy documentation and loop drawings by some means such as a SAMA diagram and or logic block diagrams.
Marked up P&ID detailing the control loop documented.
Prepare and monitor datasheets for all associated DCS I/O documented.
Design review meeting or HAZOP should be conducted.
Commissioning plan and final documentation should be signed off and issued to commissioning team.
As-built PID register which contains the settings, descriptions, tuning methodology for each loop etc. Control System Loop Performance Management Utilize loop performance monitoring techniques and tools such as Insight to detect degradation in loop performance proactively. Control Valve and Instrumentation Work with E&I technicians to develop and optimize PM’s
Utilize online monitoring tools such as ValveLink to aid in planning outages and preventing unplanned downtime.
Critical spares management Disaster Recovery Recommend backup applications. Develop and manage a disaster recovery plan
Overrides and Bridges:
Maintain Control Defeats Register.
Maintain DCS Change Logs Management of Change:
Maintain compliance with all Dyno HSEQ Standards. Maintain compliance with company process controls systems standards
What We’re Looking For:
Associates degree in engineering or similar technical field preferred with 5 years of related experience In lieu of degree, 10+ years in Automation Systems experience will be considered 5+ years of experience working in an industrial, manufacturing or chemical environment Experience in Safety Instrumented Systems (ISA 84/IEC 61511). Experience with HMI configuration and DCS/PLC configuration. (preferred DeltaV or Rockwell Automation Controllogix) Experience with Databases (SQL Server and MS Access) and Networking Knowledge of computer technology including network equipment, infrastructure, operating systems, specialized application software, control valves, and instrumentation.
