No Description SAIC is seeking a dedicated and skilled PC Technician to join our team in support of the
USSOCOM SITEC 3
contract. This key role demands a high level of operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for intricate computer systems, workstations, and servers. The ideal candidate will not only manage and execute complex software installations and upgrades but also ensure these installations are compliant with established IT policies. The focus is to optimize system performance and maintain data integrity across all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and provide top-level support in alignment with the
SIE OPORD.
Apply strong problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and effective communication to address technical issues. Adapt to varying degrees of complexity in operating, network systems, and organizational sizes. Utilize a deep understanding of hardware and software systems specified by the government. Interpret program operating instructions to configure equipment and ensure proper operations. Monitor applications and storage devices to identify and address system failures. Adjust system operations according to established procedures to maintain continuous performance, despite individual unit malfunctions. Keep meticulous operational records, including machine performance and production reports.
Qualifications Security Requirements:
An active Secret Clearance is mandatory, with eligibility to obtain TS/SCI if necessary. DoD 8140/8570
Certification Requirement:
Compliant with DoDD 8570.01-M IAT Level II.
Education Requirements:
An Associate’s Degree in a related discipline with three years of relevant experience. A High School diploma with five years of related experience and appropriate certifications.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in installing OS software, patches, and upgrades. Capability to analyze and resolve system hardware, software, and networking issues. Expertise in system configuration, optimization, fine-tuning, and monitoring. Conducting system backups and recovery operations. Support for systems hosting complex operational databases, including software configuration control and system interfaces. Effective troubleshooting of system anomalies to ensure peak equipment performance. Basic support for Identity Management, including understanding of related roles, policies, hardware, and software applications. Assurance of workstation/server data integrity through effective solutions for software and hardware. Resolution of PKI-related issues, including middleware applications and configurations. SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
