Job Summary:
We are seeking an entry-level Help Desk Support Technician to provide on-site technical support within a healthcare setting. This position involves direct assistance to clinical and administrative staff, account creation for hospital and insurance systems, and day-to-day support of critical healthcare technologies. The ideal candidate is service-oriented, organized, and eager to grow within the healthcare IT field. This is not a remote position and will be primarily stationery in Faison, NC.
Key Responsibilities:
? Respond to help desk requests via ticketing system, phone, email, and in-person, with an emphasis on timely support and continuity of care. ? Provide technical support for desktop systems, mobile devices, and healthcare applications, including EHR/EMR systems (e.g., CloudCraft, Epic, Cerner, Meditech). ? Act as a liaison between internal staff and external hospital IT teams to coordinate user account creation and access. ? Create and manage user accounts for hospitals, insurance portals, and internal systems following HIPAA guidelines. ? Support new employee onboarding/offboarding by provisioning system access and ensuring proper permissions. ? Troubleshoot software, hardware, and connectivity issues, escalating complex problems as necessary. ? Assist with access to insurance platforms and credentialing portals. ? Maintain detailed documentation of all support interactions in the ticketing system. ? Provide basic user training and guidance on frequently used applications and best practices for security.
Qualifications:
? High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Health Information Technology, or a related field preferred but not required. ? 0-1 years of IT support experience (internships, coursework, or volunteer experience accepted). ? Basic knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office 365, and general IT troubleshooting. ? Interest in healthcare IT, including EHR systems and HIPAA compliance. ? Strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service-focused. ? Ability to coordinate effectively with hospital partners and insurance providers.

Additional availability required:
