Technical Support Engineer - 64026
One of our top clients is looking for a Technical Support Engineer - Automotive Industry experience to work on-site with their team in Greensboro, NC.
Pay Rate:
$30
- 35/hr
Must Have - Technical support engineer.
…must have Automotive Industry experience providing tier 2/tier 3 support to vehicle diagnostics, data acquisition, and electrical systems.
Responsibilities:
Provide advanced technical assistance to internal teams and external service partners to resolve complex product-related issues and workshop tool concerns.
Conduct field visits to support markets and customers experiencing technical challenges.
Perform root cause analysis on product quality issues, define containment actions when needed, and monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
Utilize data acquisition systems and analytical tools to diagnose and resolve vehicle performance issues.
Apply expert-level knowledge in powertrain, chassis, and electrical/electronic systems.
Leverage deep understanding of diagnostic procedures, repair strategies, and service practices.
Lead large-scale technical support initiatives or end-to-end processes with minimal oversight.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, reviewing and delegating tasks as needed.
Tackle complex and often ambiguous technical problems requiring innovative solutions.
Experience:
5+ years of relevant experience in technical support or engineering roles within the heavy-duty vehicle industry.
Proven expertise in data acquisition and analysis for vehicle diagnostics.
Strong background in Class 8 truck systems, including design, development, and service operations.
Experience managing technical projects and mentoring less experienced professionals.
