OVERVIEW
Position Summary:

This position is responsible for creating impactful educational programs and providing LMS technical support that furthers the mission of Camino University. This role involves designing curriculum frameworks and instructional materials geared toward community empowerment, while serving as an LMS expert in collaboration with internal teams and community partners. The successful candidate will be a creative thinker with customer service skills, passionate about making a positive community impact through education and capacity building.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Curriculum Design Responsibilities Develop and Design Educational Programs:

Create and update curriculum frameworks that align with our non-profit’s mission, meet community needs, and adhere to relevant accreditation and educational standards.

Instructional Material Creation:

Design course materials, interactive lesson plans, assessments, and multimedia resources that promote active learning and community engagement.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with subject matter experts, community partners, and internal resources to ensure program content is relevant, culturally responsive, and effective.

Quality Assurance:

Regularly evaluate and revise curriculum materials based on stakeholder feedback and emerging best practices in non-profit education.

Innovative Pedagogies:

Integrate digital tools and modern instructional strategies such as blended learning and community-based participatory approaches to enhance learning outcomes.

LMS Technical Support Responsibilities LMS Management and Administration:

>Maintain and update the organization’s LMS platform, ensuring it is user-friendly, current, and aligned with the latest technological standards. >Troubleshoot technical issues for instructors and learners, providing timely support and documentation.

Content Integration and Upload:

>Oversee the integration of instructional materials into the LMS, including videos, readings, assessments, and interactive modules. >Ensure that all content is properly formatted, accessible, and in compliance with the organization’s quality standards.

Training and Support:

>Provide training sessions and documentation to help faculty and staff navigate and use the LMS effectively. >Gather feedback from users and collaborate with IT vendors to implement system improvements.

Monitoring and Reporting:

>Generate usage reports and analyze data to assess user engagement, course effectiveness, and technical performance.

Required Qualifications and Skills Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years in curriculum design or educational program development, and at least 2 years of experience working with Learning Management Systems (preferably in a non-profit or community education setting). Prefer experience in Salesforce.

Technical Proficiency:

Strong working knowledge of LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, or similar systems) and digital authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate). Familiarity with web-based technologies and basic troubleshooting skills.

Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.

Organizational Skills:

Strong project management, multi-tasking, and time-management skills with attention to detail.

Collaboration:

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including educators, IT staff, and community partners.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills Certifications:

Curriculum design or equivalent certification, or certification in instructional design/education. Prefer experience in Teachable and/or other LMS applications.

Innovative Pedagogies:

Knowledge of current trends in digital learning, accessibility standards, and multimedia instructional strategies.

Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyze LMS usage data, assess curriculum efficacy, and propose relevant improvements.

Adaptability:

Flexibility to adjust in a dynamic, mission-driven environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
