Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Security Specialist with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Chandler AZ and Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

assist the Core Engineering team with the development and testing of automation to remediate the approximately 5000 legacy ESXi hypervisors in 2025 that cannot support the client;s latest ESXi 8.0U3 operating system Establish a repeatable process to handle hypervisor hardware lifecycle management as part of a refresh program Contribute to creating a best-in-class software development environment that can be replicated across the organization
Work collaboratively as a part of the Software Engineering team to enable the development, configuration, and operation of key systems and applications
Streamline development operations and processes, standardize environments, as well as build and maintain tools for development, automated testing, regression, deployment, monitoring and operations
Responsible for automation and streamlining of multiple vSp/NSX-T/Aria Suite development operations and processes
Build and maintain automated tools for deployment, monitoring and day to day vSp, NSX-T, Aria Suite operations
Create and present design and development progress to peers via the Agile methodologies
Work closely with developers, engineers, and cross-organization SRE resources to certify, test, document, and troubleshootplex multi-tiered systems and processes within the vSp and Aria product suite

Requirements:

5+ years of experience working with vSp (vCenter ESXi), Aria Suite, NSX-T platforms at scale
5+ years of software development experience with some exposure to network programming and networking protocols
iously functioned in an SRE role within a large production environment, with a focus on automation testing experience
Hands-on production experience with vSp, Aria Suite, and NSX-T products
Strong development background in vSp APIs, Aria Suite APIs, NSX-T APIs, Python, Ansible
Experience with customizing vSp, Aria Suite, NSX-T deployment automation and configurations to specifications
Knowledge of HCI bench or Xray
Experience with Agile JIRA in a team setting
Comprehensive experience across various levels of testing including unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and performance testing
Ability to write documentation for product certification, build automation, operation support, and root cause analysis
PowerShell/PowerCLI
REST API / Swagger
Understanding of ITIL processes is a plus
Hands on Cohesity / NetBackup / Avamar product experience
Version Control (Git/Bitbucket)
Solid understanding of network concepts, load balancers, routing, subnets, firewalls
Pay range: $67.36 – $75.36
