Full Job Description Position Summary:

The IT Systems & Support Specialist is responsible for the full lifecycle of hardware, software, network, and user support across multiple clinics and office environments. The qualified candidate will be responsible for equipment purchasing, system deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination, ensuring seamless technical operations and compliance throughout the organization. Local travel between locations will be required.

Core Responsibilities:

Hardware & Software Management Purchase, set up, maintain, recycle, and inventory hardware (computers, monitors, printers, iPads, phones, etc.). Configure user workspaces and devices for new hires. Install software based on user needs (e.g., MS Office, security apps like Webroot). Manage licenses and ensure proper device grouping for application access. System & Network Maintenance Monitor computer health and performance via NinjaOne RMM. Perform hardware maintenance (dusting, RAM/disk replacement). Assist with deployment and setup of networking equipment (firewalls, switches). Provide day-to-day technical support and user troubleshooting. Security, Compliance & Backup Collaborate with IT leadership to enforce network security and privacy protocols. Manage device security (ABM for Apple, Verizon group settings, Google Workspace). Use Google Vault for email/file recovery and data retention compliance. IT Infrastructure Support Configure and support devices like printers (Xerox), fax bridges (SimpleCom), audio systems (Mood Controller), and digital signage (Yodeck). Maintain and troubleshoot shared systems like Google Workspace, Freshdesk (ticketing), and TalentMS. Track and manage IT inventory (active and spare) across locations. Vendor & Telecom Management Review and manage monthly billing and service with Verizon, Spectrum, GoDaddy, SADA. Coordinate with reps on inventory, cost-saving, or maintenance tasks. Ensure proper device grouping for call routing, voicemail, and loss prevention features. Onboarding & User Management Provision new users via Active Directory and Google Workspace. Assign correct OU/groups and permissions based on job role and location. Disable accounts, forward data, and reassign assets upon termination.

Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of network environments (Microsoft/Linux/Citrix), LAN/WAN, and VMware/HyperV. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve both hardware and software issues. Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills. Experience with Active Directory, Google Workspace, ticketing systems, and mobile device management. Certifications or equivalent field experience preferred. Valid North Carolina Drivers License is required Reliable transportation is required

Education & Experience:

Associate’s Degree in IT Networking / System Administration Minimum 2 years of field experience, with at least 1.5 years in System Administration.
