We’re seeking a tech-savvy and customer-focused Accounting Software Help Desk Specialist to support users of our proprietary ERP software and their corresponding accounting software package, most often Quickbooks. In this role, you’ll assist clients with troubleshooting software issues, answering accounting-related functionality questions, and ensuring a smooth user experience. This position is ideal for someone who understands accounting concepts and enjoys solving problems using technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first-line support to users of our software via phone, email, or teams meetings. Troubleshoot and resolve software issues related to billing, invoicing, reporting, and other financial modules. Guide customers through product features and workflows aligned with accounting principles. Collaborate with the product and development teams to escalate bugs or suggest improvements. Maintain clear records of customer interactions in the ticketing system (e.g., Connectwise, Jira). Assist with software updates, user onboarding, and training sessions as needed. Contribute to internal knowledge base and user-facing help articles.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
Experience:
1-3 years in a help desk support, or accounting role. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, SAP, or custom ERP systems). Familiarity with help desk tools and remote troubleshooting methods.
Skills:
Solid understanding of accounting concepts (AP, AR, journal entries, reconciliations). Excellent written and verbal communication. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Comfortable with both technical troubleshooting and customer support.
Preferred:
Ability to translate accounting jargon into simple user instructions. Ability to think outside the box
