Job Description
VACO is seeking a Technical Specialist contractor to provide hands-on desktop support at a fast-paced manufacturing facility. This role involves working closely with engineering, production, and office teams to ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations.
THIS JOB IS ON SITE IN JACKSONVILLE, NC
Key Responsibilities Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot PC hardware and software Support Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 applications Provide support for iOS devices (iPads, iPhones), Mac PCs Assist with wired and wireless networking (LAN, TCP/IP) Administer Microsoft 365 and Intune Offer support for mobile devices and endpoint security tools (e.g., PC encryption) Utilize Jira for issue tracking, trend analysis, and proactive problem resolution Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance customer service Support business-critical tools such as SAP, VPN, and Two-Factor Authentication Contribute to global IT standards and project-based initiatives Required Skills & Abilities Strong troubleshooting skills in both hardware and software Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills Strong verbal and written communication Advanced knowledge of PC imaging and software deployment tools Ability to build and maintain strong internal customer relationships Education & Experience High School diploma required Minimum 1 to 3 years of hands-on PC support experience
