IT Operations Specialist 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars 132 North Main Street, Salisbury, NC 28144 IT Operations Specialist Your Career, Your Community Performs advanced technical and administrative work in Tier 2 IT support, enterprise application assistance, and departmental coordination. Serves as a progression from the Help Desk Technician role, supporting end users with complex technology needs, system administration, and departmental operations. Coordinates closely with Tier 3 support and Business Systems Analysts (BSA) for advanced system configuration, integrations, and issue escalation. This position blends advanced administrative responsibilities with in-depth technical support and enterprise application expertise. Acts as the primary Tier 2 technician for escalated support issues and contributes to configuring, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise systems in a support role. Requires strong judgment, multitasking ability, independence, and excellent customer service skills. May occasionally mentor or provide oversight to Tier 1 staff. Works under the moderate supervision of the Information Technologies Manager. Minimum Requirements:
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field; bachelor’s degree preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience in IT helpdesk or technical support roles with exposure to administrative tasks.
- Familiarity with ERP platforms, IT ticketing systems, and municipal operations preferred.
Special Requirements:
Must have a valid NC Driver’s License Ability to obtain Microsoft Professional status or equivalent in timeframe specified by the city

Hiring Range:
$51,837.92-$74,128.23 (Depending on Experience) $2,000.00 sign-on bonus to be paid as a lump sum after successful completion of probationary period.
