Full Job Description Job Summary:
Hog Slat, Inc ., the world’s leading provider of equipment and turnkey facilities to the swine and poultry industries, is seeking a Desktop Support Technician in Newton Grove, NC to provide advanced network and basic server support. This position is responsible for providing desktop support services to all Hog Slat employees. This includes supporting user accounts, PCs, Macs, software and hardware, and general user issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES
Primary support for all end-user issues Reset passwords and unlock user accounts, as needed Provide day-to-day administration of user endpoints and associated peripherals, including to remote employees Image, update, and troubleshoot PCs and Macs Troubleshoot and replace hardware components in desktops and laptops Support and provide instruction to end-users on the use of business productivity applications Maintain antivirus clients on endpoints and respond to security incidents as needed Support printers and printer services for large MFP unit, desktop printers, and label printers Support user desk and cell phones Perform PC and basic network installs for new stores Answer user calls and emails, open and close tickets, and maintain asset inventories Evaluate end-user hardware and software solutions Operate as a member of the disaster recovery team in test and real world incidents Work with project teams to resolve complex issues and implement new solutions All other duties as assigned
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Knowledge of common end-user applications and operating systems including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, MacOS, iOS, Kaspersky, LogMeIn, and RDP. Capable of identifying and resolving issues with minimal support Ability to manage tasks with accuracy and attention to detail Understand IS policies and procedures and communicate these to the user community Strong commitment to customer service with good interpersonal communication, presentation, problem solving, and analytical skills Excellent organizational skills Strong team player
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Associates degree in a technical field of study and at least 1 year of IT experience. Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education
