The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer management and support, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently. This role is essential in ensuring that our employees have the necessary tools and support to perform their jobs effectively. The Desktop Support Technician will work closely with various departments to provide exceptional service and maintain optimal system performance. Responsibilities Provide technical support for Windows and macOS operating systems, ensuring smooth operation across all devices. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including computer management tasks such as installations, configurations, and upgrades. Utilize tools such as Jira and Remedy for tracking support requests and managing incidents effectively. Manage user accounts in Active Directory, including creation, modification, and deletion of accounts as necessary. Monitor and maintain firewall settings to ensure network security while providing support to users. Communicate effectively with end-users to understand their issues and provide timely resolutions. Document all support activities and solutions in a clear manner for future reference. Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and initiatives aimed at improving overall IT service delivery. Requirements Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role in an IT support environment. Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows and macOS) and computer hardware components. Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Jira or Remedy for managing support requests. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with users at all levels. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues. Experience with Active Directory management is preferred.
