Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced EHR Security Coordinator to manage access controls, conduct audits, enforce
HIPAA/HITECH
compliance, and ensure EHR system security. The role involves working closely with IT and compliance teams to safeguard patient data and support incident response.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure EHR system compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and internal policies
Oversee user access provisioning and role-based access controls (RBAC)
Conduct security audits, manage incident response, and coordinate risk assessments
Collaborate with IT/security teams and support EHR system integrations
Recommend improvements based on evolving security trends
Qualifications:
Bachelor s in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3 5 years of IT security experience (healthcare preferred)
Knowledge of
HIPAA, EHR
systems, risk management, and RBAC
Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, HCISPP) preferred
Other Requirements:
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Weekly U.S. travel required
On-call availability for security incidents
