Our Raleigh office is currently seeking a part-time IT Support Technician. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple deadlines and perform the responsibilities effectively and timely with a high degree of accuracy, and be capable of working independently as well as in a team environment. The schedule for this position is Mon. – Wed. from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. There is some flexibility in days, times, and number of hours for the right candidate. Day to Day Responsibilities Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining all standard company devices The implementation of workstations, servers, network infrastructure, and software services in a design and graphically concentrated environment Assist in accomplishing the organization’s overall technology goals Provide support in the day-to-day operations of the firm Assist management in creating training materials and other documentation pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage Assist in updating and maintaining all aspects of computer networks Standard office hours, but willing to be on call for after hour requests and occasional maintenance Willing to learn and implement new technology and software as the company continues to grow Actively willing to support other employees with a personable and positive attitude Frequent communication with staff, suppliers, vendors, etc. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned What we look for Associates/Bachelor’s degree in computer science and/or 1-3 years of relevant experience in a customer focused position involving technical knowledge of a company’ s products and services Professional written and interpersonal skills are essential Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently Professional written and interpersonal skills are essential Extensive experience working with Windows operating systems including Windows servers and Windows 11 Pro Ability to accept constructive criticism and customer feedback regarding software or IT services Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Entra is a plus Comfortable working with company help desk software to assist co-workers Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolutions to issues Experience with architecture software, network equipment, and cloud data is a plus but not required Detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible The ability to interact positively with others, solve problems, and constructively communicate those solutions to others General and Physical Demands The ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. There will occasionally be the need to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, twist, lift, carry, push and/or pull light to heavy amounts of weight up to 50 pounds. This position requires frequent moving around the office, including ascending/descending stairwells, in order to access workstations and other office equipment which may be located under desks or in a server closet. Frequent repetitive hand movement while operating computer keyboards, copy machines, plotters, printers, and audio/visual equipment will be necessary.
