JOB S UMMARY / DESCRIPTION

The IT Technician is responsible for IT help desk issue management for our 200+ users, performs daily hardware and software configuration and maintenance, workspace environment technology management, and IT asset management at the direction of the IT Director. This person should have proficiency in IP Networking, Windows, and Mac

OS. RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide first- and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues. Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory and other systems. Monitor and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and internet connectivity. Assist with system backups, disaster recovery planning, and data security protocols. Support software deployment, updates, and patch management. Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. Participate in IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts. Responds to the needs and questions of users concerning their access to corporate resources and the operation of various software programs and services . Manages IT equipment stock levels, ensuring accurate records, security, and organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of experience in an IT support, technician, or generalist role. Proficiency with Windows and macOS operating systems. Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN). Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic server administration. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates the use of logical troubleshooting skills . Goal-driven personality and understanding of process management. Strong personal desire to produce high quality work in a high-paced environment. Must be physically able to lift 20+ lbs. and adhere to ECRS ladder safety requirements.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Workspace). Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices. Scripting or automation experience (e.g., PowerShell, Bash). Exposure to ITIL or other IT service management frameworks .
