IT Technician 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars Manchester, NH As a Field Technician, you will provide on-site repair and maintenance services for laptops, desktops, and printers. This is a contract-based position ideal for independent professionals who enjoy flexible work, hands-on technical challenges, and a dynamic field service environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair laptops, desktops, and printers (all major brands). Perform hardware component replacements, upgrades, and general maintenance. Accurately document services performed and report findings. Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and support teams. Travel to customer locations within your service area (typically 15-20 mile radius).
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of field technician or hardware repair experience . Strong knowledge of hardware components, peripherals, and operating systems (Windows, Mac, etc.). Must own or have access to necessary tools and reliable transportation. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Must be eligible to work as a 1099 contractor in the U.S. or Canada. Smartphone with camera and internet access required for job documentation.
