• Digital Technology Services (DTS) Data Engineer
• will work closely with a multidisciplinary agile team to build high quality data pipelines driving analytic solutions across the Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) network.

These solutions will generate insights from the organization’s connected data, enabling the organization to advance the data-driven decision-making capabilities of the organization’s enterprise. This role requires a deep understanding of data architecture, data engineering, data analysis, reporting, and a basic understanding of data science techniques and workflows.

• The ideal candidate will have experience with Google Cloud Platform, a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) certification and experience within thre healthcare industry. The selected candidate will be required to be onsite in the Edison, NJ office once a quarter.

• Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• + Bachelor’s degree.

+ Minimum of 2+ years of experience working in data engineering or architecture role. + SQL and data analysis. + Programming (i.e.,Python or Scala). + Development in cloud computing services. + Building data pipelines. + Database development experience using Hadoop or BigQuery. + Data warehouse maintenance. + Work with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI). + Familiarity with machine learning. + Data governance. + Work with structured and unstructured data. + Attention to detail, critical thinking, intellectually curious, and desire to learn. + Relationship building and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders. + Requirements translation. + Agile work process. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.

• Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• + Masters / PhD. + Minimum of 4+ years of experience working in data engineering or architecture role. + Prior experience in a healthcare domain. + Prior Google Cloud Platform experience. + Prior full-stack experience. + Experience in the Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering Field.
