Job Summary:
The IT Depot Technician plays a crucial role in managing equipment requests, ensuring smooth onboarding and offboarding, configuring and deploying hardware, and maintaining accurate asset records. This position requires technical expertise, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to inventory management and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
Fulfill equipment requests, including new hires, terminations, and legal hold orders.
Validate and procure devices based on internal stock availability, collaborating with procurement if needed.
Maintain detailed inventory records and ensurepliance with audit requirements.
Conduct hardware audits, troubleshooting, installation, and system configurations.
Update asset management systems to reflect accurate equipment status and location.
Prepare and configure devices for deployment, ensuring operational readiness.
Package and ship equipment efficiently, using appropriate materials and methods.
Oversee the disposal of end-of-life equipment in accordance with policies and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Experience with Windows 10, Windows 11, and MacOS X installations and maintenance.
Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, InTune, BitLocker, FileVault, Ivanti, PowerShell, and ServiceNow is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Windows Deployment Toolkit for imaging processes.
Strong understanding of laptop and desktop hardware, peripherals, and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with printers and scanners.
Non-Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong organization, prioritization, and time management abilities.
Effectivemunication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage expectations, follow up on tasks, and ensure projectpletion.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Physical ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
A+ certification (preferred but not required).
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong customer service orientation.
