Job Description
This hybrid role is ideal for someone with mechanical/electrical aptitude, practical experience in metalworking or related industries, and a passion for problem-solving and innovation. This position includes opportunities for future growth into a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for Losma’s product line, including installation guidance, troubleshooting, and customer service. Work closely with engineers, external sales teams, and clients to deliver tailored solutions. Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and product manuals. Assist in configuring and demonstrating equipment functionality, especially related to motors, transformers, engines, and CNC machinery. Participate in occasional travel for customer visits, technical support, and trade shows. Collaborate in remote/hybrid settings, with periodic visits to the Sparta, NJ office. Undergo extensive product and application training, including: 1 week at factory in Italy to meet team 6-12 months of hands-on mentoring with the current specialist Regular Teams meetings and live demonstrations
Requirements:
A few years of hands-on experience in metalworking, machinery maintenance, or a similar technical field. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; ability to learn quickly and apply new concepts. Experience with motors, transformers, CNC systems, or similar equipment is highly desirable. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Comfortable working independently and coordinating with cross-functional teams. Willingness to travel on an as-needed basis.
Preferred But Not Required:
Degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering/technology. Experience in customer-facing technical roles. Familiarity with industrial air filtration, coolant filtration, or similar technologies.
Location & Work Structure:
Hybrid preferred: Sparta, NJ (flexibility for remote work with periodic office visits).
Travel:
Minimal, mostly for specific customer support or trade shows.
