Job Description
Desktop Technician Persistent Systems Norwich, NY 13815 We are seeking an energetic and dependable Deskside Support Technician to join our IT support team in Norwich, NY. This is a fully in-person role focused on deskside support for end users in a fast-paced and dynamic enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, personable, and passionate about solving technical issues with professionalism and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on deskside support to end users including hardware/software troubleshooting and issue resolution. Repair, test, image, and clean PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, and other peripherals. Set up, configure, install, and manage computer hardware and software. Participate in large IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) events including PC refreshes and printer migrations. Use asset management tools for tracking hardware and software inventory. Document process improvements and support procedures. Backup and transfer end-user data as needed. Collaborate with team members and leadership to address support escalations and ensure excellent service delivery. Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs, crawling, bending, and walking a large portion of the day to reach users’ workstations.
Required Experience:
6 months to 2 years of experience in a technical support or IT helpdesk environment. Experience supporting PC hardware and software in an enterprise environment. Familiarity with tools such as Office 365, Windows 10 Professional, imaging solutions, and ticketing systems.

$20.00 – $22.00 per hour
