Senior IT Support Technician LyteSpeed Business Solutions 97 Canal Landing Boulevard, Rochester, NY 14626
MSP Environment Experience:
- A minimum of 2-3 years working in the Managed Service Provider environment
- Knowledge of RMM software uses and management
- Familiarity with a structured ticket system such as Auto task
- Experience working with and troubleshooting managed backups
- Experience working with managed security software such as Anti Virus, Microsoft Authenticator, etc.

Microsoft 365
Skills:
- Ability to build a new Tenant from scratch including domain purchase and registration, DNS entries, new user mailboxes, SharePoint site creation, shared mailboxes, license procurement and allocation.
- For an existing tenant the ability to add new domains, change user primary logins, add aliases, assign mailbox rights, perform message traces, configure SPAM and Malware policies
- Some familiarity with the Office 365 Desktop APPS, installing, signing in, basic daily use.
- Strong Teams knowledge
Networking Skills:
- TCP/IP knowledge, Gateways, DHCP server, DNS server how networks function
- Network troubleshooting – connectivity issues, where is the network failing ?
- Some Active Directly knowledge, joining a domain, adding AD users, editing Group policy
- Basic Server tasks such as stopping and starting services
Windows Operating System Skills:
- Ability to install Windows 11 from scratch, knowledge of disk partitions, etc..
- Knowledge of Device Manager and how to install drivers
- Troubleshooting common daily Windows errors such as printing issues, blue screens, devices not working
- Knowledge of Cloud storage into Windows Explorer (OneDrive, etc..)
- Knowledge of Windows logs and services
Software Troubleshooting Skills:
- Ability to install and uninstall software applications
- Ability to repair applications
- Ability to analyze software application logs to troubleshoot application errors
Hardware Skills:
- Ability to build a PC from scratch
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware errors
- Ability to troubleshoot operating system boot issues Security Knowledge a PLUS!
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$25.00 – $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 42 per week
