Hirani Engineering & Land Surveying is a growing AEC firmdedicated to delivering innovative engineering solutions. We’reseeking a proactive IT Specialist to keep our technology runningsmoothly and support our team’s productivity.

Position Overview:

The IT Specialist will coordinate with external vendors, manage ourhardware and software environments, and provide front-line supportto employees. You’ll deploy and maintain workstations and virtualmachines, administer user accounts, troubleshoot issues, and driveprocess improvements through automation.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor & MSP Liaison Serve as primary point of contact for ourManaged Service Providers Submit, track, and follow up on ticketsto ensure SLA compliance Hardware & Software Management Maintaininventories of hardware assets, software licenses, and renewalsConfigure and deploy desktops, laptops, and virtual machines (VMs)Roll out software installations, updates, and manage licenseassignments User Account Administration Create and manage Office365 and Deltek user accounts, groups, and security agentsParticipate in new-hire onboarding: network overview, coreapplications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) Technical Support &Troubleshooting Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, network, andperipheral issues Escalate specialized software problems tothird-party tech support (Autodesk, Bentley, Leica, PTC, etc.)Infrastructure & Cloud Services Administer on-premises servers, AWSinstances, and remote desktop environments Assist with IPaddressing, modem configuration, and provisioning VMs on THORProcess Improvement & Automation Develop and refine workflows usingPower Automate, Office 365 Apps, and SharePoint Identify andimplement automation opportunities to enhance efficiencyCommunication & Training Publish weekly “Tech Tip” emails to sharebest practices Conduct periodic walk-throughs with department headsto proactively identify IT needs Purchasing & InventoryOptimization Source and recommend cost-effective equipmentpurchases (e.g., via Slickdeals) Support regular audits oftechnology assets and lifecycle planning Documentation & ComplianceMaintain SharePoint libraries and technical documentation Completeassigned e-learning courses (e.g., Deltek) and ensure adherence toIT policies
