Job Description

Description We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in New York, NY. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in providing technical support to staff across various practice areas, ensuring seamless operation of hardware, software, and network systems. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who excels in troubleshooting, communication, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Configure, install, and troubleshoot a wide range of software applications on desktop and laptop computers.
  • Set up and provide ongoing support for approved mobile devices used by staff.
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of video equipment, offering assistance with audio and video calls as needed.
  • Lead efforts in software installation and usage, maintaining expertise in application management.
  • Provide technical assistance with operating systems on workstations and servers.
  • Maintain familiarity with local and wide area network concepts, wiring setups, and data communication protocols.
  • Deliver support for PC hardware components, including messaging clients, web browsers, antivirus tools, and office productivity applications.
  • Record, update, and resolve service requests and incidents using best practices, preferably through ServiceNow.
  • Install and manage client applications and virtualized solutions with precision.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure deadlines are met while balancing multiple tasks efficiently. Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in a technical support role or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working in environments supporting 50-100 staff members.
  • Proficiency with Active Directory and Windows operating systems (Windows 7/10/11).
  • Familiarity with Windows Server versions 2012, 2016, and 2019.
  • Advanced skills with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
  • Strong customer service abilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detailed understanding of PC workstation and server hardware, as well as networking and communication interfaces.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage multiple critical tasks simultaneously.
