Job Description
The Professional Systems Support Technician I provides first class help support to professional customers using web browsers, shop management systems and procurement products to place business to business orders with O’Reilly Auto Parts. Emphasis on system setup, customer training, and the development and maintenance of on-line connectivity.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide help support functions for all products used to connect professional customers to O’Reilly Auto Parts. Return phone messages and emails to Professional Customers. Support O’Reilly field team needs as it relates to our electronic offering and questions. Register new customers for First Call Online web site. Diagnose Customer issues with operating systems, browsers and firewalls to restore electronic ordering abilities. Maintain a computer log showing equipment failures, software issues, and equipment modifications. Participate in training for O’Reilly customers and company personnel as needed. Work with customers reviewing/recommending hardware needs and system requirements. Work with I.S. and Telecom Departments to resolve/troubleshoot communication issues. Work with programmers and customers testing and evaluating software and hardware. Performs other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES
Required:
College, vocational technical, or on-the-job training on PC’s, operating systems, and Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Chrome . Excellent communication and public relation skills. Retail sales oriented with prior experience in customer service. Basic networking skills (drive mapping, etc). Intermediate computer skills (Excel/Word/Internet). Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure with customers and team members. O’Reilly Auto Parts has a proven track record of growth and stability.
