Technical Support Associate 2.9 2.9 out of 5 stars Central Islip, NY 11722 Are you technically savvy, detail-oriented, and proactive? We’re looking for a Tech Support Associate to support and maintain our organization’s IT systems and infrastructure. Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of work experience in technical support or a related field, or an Associate degree /technical school coursework in a related discipline. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong note-taking and documentation habits. Excellent organization and task prioritization skills. A proactive attitude and strong customer service mindset. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and operating systems (Windows/macOS). Must have reliable transportation — occasional local travel required (5-minute drive to nearby office). Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities:
1. End user support (first point of contact): Receive requests by phone, email, chat, or ticketing system. Register and classify incidents or requirements. 2.
Basic troubleshooting:
Login problems (resetting passwords). Basic e-mail configuration. Installing or uninstalling approved software. Problems with printers, scanners, tablets, phones, barcode scanners, or peripherals. Basic network support (e.g., connecting to Wi-Fi, cable verification, etc.). Basic support for the O365 suite Initial diagnosis of hardware or software errors. 3.
Incident Escalation:
Identify cases that require more specialized attention. Escalate tickets to second-level support if necessary. 4.
Remote support:
Use remote control tools to assist the end user. 5.
Documentation and follow-up:
