The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, ensuring that all desktop systems are operating efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of computer hardware, software applications, and networking concepts, particularly in LAN environments. The Desktop Support Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining user productivity and satisfaction through effective problem resolution. Responsibilities Provide first-level technical support for hardware and software issues related to Windows and macOS operating systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with desktop hardware, including PCs, laptops, printers, and peripherals. Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory. Assist users with applications such as Microsoft Office and other software tools. Utilize ServiceNow for ticketing and tracking of support requests. Analyze and diagnose technical problems to provide timely solutions. Collaborate with other IT team members to enhance service delivery and improve processes. Maintain documentation of support activities and procedures for future reference. Qualifications Proven experience in desktop support or help desk roles. Strong knowledge of LAN networking concepts. Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems. Familiarity with computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques. Experience with Active Directory for user management. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze technical issues effectively. Strong communication skills to interact with end-users professionally and courteously. Experience using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems is a plus.
