IT Field Technician Position Available In Westchester, New York

IT Field Technician Westchester Technology Group Elmsford, NY 10523 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network systems and telecommunications equipment. Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic networking issues (routers, switches, cabling) Set up workstations and peripheral devices for new users Perform system upgrades, updates, and preventative maintenance Install and mount TVs, security cameras, and network equipment Build and install network racks, patch panels, and structured cabling Run and terminate data cables (Cat5e, Cat6, etc.) in commercial and residential settings Maintain accurate records of service calls and equipment used Communicate effectively with team members and clients on-site Travel locally within Westchester County (mileage reimbursement available) Experience 1+ year of experience in IT support or a similar role Experience with VoIP systems, surveillance cameras, & low-voltage cabling Basic understanding of networking (Wi-Fi, routers, switches) Comfortable with hand tools and light equipment installation Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications Excellent troubleshooting and time-management skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various settings.
