POSITION SPECIFICS
The IT Support Specialist – Intermediate Support serves as the primary hands-on IT resource for a designated zone, delivering direct technical support to faculty, staff, researchers and students. This role is critical to maintaining secure and compliant computing environments and plays a key part in supporting student success through the management of Engineering instructional computing labs-both physical and virtual. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows, Linux, and macOS systems; managing lab environments and software licensing; assisting with procurement and deployment of IT resources; and ensuring systems remain up to date and compliant with University and College security policies. The specialist also provides end-user training, documents procedures, collaborates with vendors, and may assist in supervising student workers or junior staff. Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset are essential for success in this role.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED
CERTIFICATIONSGeneral Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS)
2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted

& BENEFITSThe salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $46,400.00 – $67,300.00.
