IT Operational Analyst (Disaster Recovery – DR)
Job Summary:
The IT Operational Analyst (DR) will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing disaster recovery plans to ensure the continuity and recovery of IT systems in the event of a disruption. This role involves conducting risk assessments, coordinating recovery efforts, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The analyst will collaborate with team members and stakeholders to deliver effective disaster recovery solutions and promote a culture of resilience.
Responsibilities:
Disaster Recovery Planning:
Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans for IT systems.
Risk Assessment:
Perform risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Recovery Coordination:
Coordinate recovery efforts during and after a disruption to ensure timely restoration of services.
Testing and Validation:
Conduct regular testing and validation of disaster recovery plans to ensure effectiveness.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed documentation of disaster recovery procedures, processes, and plans.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to disaster recovery.
Training:
Provide training and awareness programs to staff on disaster recovery procedures.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other IT and business units to integrate disaster recovery plans with overall business continuity strategies.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
Proven experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation [1] [2].
Skills:
Strong understanding of disaster recovery principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and proficiency in risk assessment and management.
Certifications:
Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) preferred.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to HCL policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to HCL policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off (PTO) per year (some positions are eligible for unlimited PTO); and 10 paid holidays per year.
