VACANCY Elementary Technology Aide Hours:

7¼ hours/day, 195

Days/Year Salary Rate:

$18.00- $22.00/hour

Location:
Gulph Elementary School Qualifications:
  • High School diploma plus additional course work desired.
  • Computer support skills and experience working with children/young adults strongly preferred.
  • Ability to function as part of a team composed of the teacher and aide.
  • Ability to assist the teacher in most of his/her functions.
  • Ability to establish rapport with students.
  • Ability to be understanding of the students’ individual needs.
  • Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI.
Duties & Responsibilities :
  • Assist users that the necessary software is available on student, teacher, and staff technology devices.
  • Interface and provide technical support to parents via the help ticket system to provide support during virtual learning.
  • Support, troubleshoot, and maintain classroom Smart Display hardware and software.
  • Support and troubleshoot login and launch issues with all applications, apps, and cloud based platforms.
  • Provide initial support for the Schoology LMS for teachers, students, and parents.
  • Support and troubleshoot cloud based curricular learning platforms.
  • Clean, check, and perform minor maintenance and support on technology equipment to ensure that it remains in operational condition.
  • Perform the first level support contact with vendors of building technology equipment. Assist with on-site support from technology equipment vendors.
  • Maintain, distribute, and collect devices through the Smart Locker system. assist with loaner device distribution.
  • Provide initial contact for building level technology support issues. Assist in managing building level help tickets and prioritize tasks as warranted. Contact a technology support specialist when needed. Assist other technical staff specialists in troubleshooting help issues.
  • Maintain the building level website.
  • Provide assistance with building level projects when priority permits.
  • Participate in staff and in-service activities. Learn new technologies that affect building technology support and operation.
  • Work with the technology team to facilitate repairs to Staff, Faculty, and Student devices.
  • Prepare technology devices and peripherals for summer break and redistribute and categorize for the new school year when necessary.
  • Ensure an adequate level of technology supplies when necessary.
  • Perform related work and other duties as required by The Director of Technology and/or Network Administrator.
