Position Summary:

The Desktop Support Technician is responsible for providing on-site, in-person technical support to employees in a professional environment. This role involves creating and managing tickets in ServiceNow, deploying and refreshing supported PCs, printers, and network devices, maintaining computer rooms and network closets, and ensuring accurate inventory management. The Desktop Support Technician will also deploy and support IT audio/video equipment in conference rooms, execute tasks required for ongoing project deployments, and provide on-call/after-hours support for critical issues.

Responsibilities:

Provide on-site, in-person technical support to employees, including Company Leadership. Create and manage tickets in ServiceNow, ensuring timely resolution based on contracted SLAs. Deploy and refresh supported PCs, printers, and network devices (switches, APs, wireless controllers). Maintain computer rooms and network closets according to company standards. Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment in ServiceNow, managing equipment from receipt to disposal while adhering to lifecycle processes. Deploy and support (IT) audio/video equipment in conference rooms. Support business video events as needed. Execute assigned tasks required to support ongoing project deployments. Provide on-call P1/P2 support, rotating after-hours support with team to address critical issues and serve as the “Hands and Eyes” for the network team.

Requirements:

At least 2 years of IT experience (5+ years preferred), resulting in technical skills with network, audio/visual, PC support, and other IT technical infrastructure hands-on skills. Must be professional in demeanor and adhere to site-specific dress code policies. Must be a strong collaborator with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-moving environment. Self-motivated and driven to achieve quality results. Team player with the ability to quickly learn new skills.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Additional Information:

This position requires on-site work at the company’s location. Schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm/8am-430pm, determined by length of lunch break. Active Driver’s License & reliable transportation required.
