We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented IT Technician to join our team. This position is a combination of help desk and cable/wiring technician with the most significant portion being cabling/wiring, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cabling and wiring, technical support and customer service, with expertise in managing IT infrastructure and providing desktop support. Responsibilities Provide on-site technical support to staff, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues. Review and respond and update work tickets Perform routine maintenance and inspections of IT systems to ensure optimal performance. Perform desktop support tasks, including hardware installation, upgrades, and repairs. Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems, software, cameras, and access controls. Install telecommunications services by identifying and connecting correct cables, installing temporary drop if possible; installing inside wiring or cables; installing fiber optic equipment; connecting wireless devices and testing service. Install and configure surveillance camera systems, including IP cameras and related equipment Run, splice and terminate cables, including coaxial, Ethernet, and power cables according to specifications. Troubleshoot and identify and resolve network faults and equipment malfunctions Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair connectivity issues related to cable, internet, and telecommunications systems. Test and troubleshoot camera systems to ensure proper functionality. Qualifications A minimum of 3 years of related experience. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate’s degree in electronics, IT, or a related field preferred. Proficiency in running and terminating various types of cables. Experience as a cabling and network technician. Proven experience as a field service technician, camera installer, or similar role. Working proficiency in databases and Microsoft Office. Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems. Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Position involves sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying, and moving objects weighing up to 50 lbs. This movement can occur throughout the day. Ability to safely crawl, stoop, and kneel in small spaces such as an attic or crawl space. Ability to climb a ladder.
