Helpdesk Support Technician Job Responsibilities:

Do you have a background in technology support? Do you have a strong customer service background? Then check out the Helpdesk Support Technician position in the department of Information Technology Services at The Citadel College.

This role will:

Work as a member of The Citadel’s Information Technology Services team to provide technical IT phone and remote support to the College’s Faculty, Staff, and Students.
Responsible for performing daily tasks through The Citadel’s IT ticket system
Remotely discovering and resolving IT software issues: including virus removal, software installation, account assistance, and computer diagnostics and trouble-shooting.
Responsible for the development of The Citadel’s IT Knowledge Base.
Record processes to relay standard information to entire ITS staff.
Recognize and identify trend issues in The Citadel’s community and participate in the resolution of such issues.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:

Associate’s degree
One-year technical experience in computer system design, development, maintenance, and management OR an equivalent combination of training and experience
Windows operating systems technical skills required.
Excellent customer service skills; strong commitment to customer service.
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:
