School Based Computer Technician
The school based technician under the direction of Junior Network Engineer will work with teachers, administrators, and students performs a variety of duties related to District-wide operation of computer systems; installs and maintains computer applications, and provides computer hardware support; assists as needed in daily operations of the Technology Department; and performs related work as required; keeps district staff informed and up-to-date on software and hardware changes, developments. This position requires the persons to work with district’s Modern Learning Specialists in the management of computer systems security, repairing systems, managing and maintaining a viable Modern Digital Learning Environment (MDLE).
Provides support for various computer and instructional tools platforms; inclusive of Microsoft
Windows, Apple Mac OS, Apple IOS, Google Chrome OS, projectors, and digital displays
Configures computer systems for network connections
Troubleshoots hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
Inventory management of school based computers
In conjunction with others, design a deployment and collection of devices
Repairs computer hardware on various systems
Performs preventative maintenance to maintain optimal system performance
Serves as a resource to administrators, teachers and staff
Performs imaging of computer systems
Maintains maintenance and repair records in work order system
Pick up and delivers equipment at District facilities
Prepares written and oral reports as required
Maintains knowledge of current trends in computer support
Performs related duties as assigned
