Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Deskside Technician to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will provide on-site technical assistance to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, hardware, and software. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide deskside support to end-users for hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software applications.
Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT equipment.
Assist with the setup and deployment of new hardware and software.
Document and track issues using a ticketing system.
Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues.
Educate end-users on best practices and provide training as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a Deskside Technician or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
Familiarity with network protocols and troubleshooting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Certification in CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or similar is a plus.

Working Conditions:

On-site work with occasional travel to other locations as needed.
Ability to lift and move IT equipment as required.
