) Applicant must be able to assist under the general supervision of the IT Manager II for pc support, regional endpoint technician i for headquarters and district 1, or the endpoint technician I. Provide technical assistance to departmental personnel in the setup, installation, maintenance and proper usage of desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, monitors, application software, local area network, and associated equipment for headquarters building for the south Carolina Client under the management of information technology services (its). Manages building laptops, tablets, and workstations using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager. Confirms the installation is successful by ensuring the BitLocker key is stored in Active Directory and in Tune and the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager client is installed. Ensures that desktops, laptops, and tablets are fully checked 2.5 hours after the build completes. Assist with the deployment of built-to-order devices in the headquarters building. Applicant will be required to be onsite for 40 hours a week within the SCDOT headquarters building to provide support for its services and desktop support staff. Daily Duties /

Responsibilities:

) Build desktops, laptops, and tablets, using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager. ) Ensure the BitLocker encryption key is successfully stored in Active Directory. ) Ensure the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager client is installed on each desktop, laptop, and tablet during the build process. ) Ensure each desktop, laptop, and tablet stays connected to the NTS network for at least 2.5 hours after the build completes. ) Ensure that all software listed on the build sheet is installed on each desktop, laptop, and tablet built. ) Ensure that each desktop, laptop, tablet, and/or 27/” monitor is properly documented in am cloud, Active Directory, and the Drake well spreadsheet for labels in accordance with the desktop support Drakewell-iam procedure manual. ) Diagnoses and resolves problems reported by users on pc hardware/f/software. Record work performed in the help desk system. ) Performs routine maintenance and repairs on equipment or contacts/sends equipment to the vendor for repair. ) Assists with the removal and disposal of obsolete equipment and other components, salvaging any usable parts. ) Performs other related duties as required. Required Skills (Rank in Order of Importance): ) General knowledge of personal computers and office automation systems. ) General knowledge of the principles and practices of personal computer hardware, software and peripheral equipment installation, maintenance and repair requires experience in Microsoft Windows, installing hardware, and software. ) 4+ years of experience in desktop and networked systems support, extensive knowledge of desktops, laptops, and tablets. Experience supporting the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Edge browser. Expertise in supporting Windows 10. Preferred Skills (Rank in Order of Importance): ) Knowledge of Windows 11. ) Knowledge of Active Directory. ) Ability to reason and think logically. ) Ability to understand and follow written or oral procedures and instructions; skill in the operation of standard office equipment; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates. ) Incumbent must possess excellent time management, problem-solving, written communication, and customer service skills. ) Operates agency computers, telephone, and tools to assemble and repair agency computers, test equipment, and related equipment. ) Requires the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently.

Required Education:

) A high school diploma and experience in computer deployments, installation, operation, repair, or related systems. An associate degree or a bachelor//’s degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience.
