Nashville, TN Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to provide technical assistance and desktop support across a diverse user base. The technician will resolve desktop computing issues, install and maintain hardware/software, and provide support to both on-site and remote users. This position requires excellent troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of various operating systems, and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide desktop support to end users for hardware, software, and network-related issues Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripherals Support both on-site and remote users with technical problem resolution Analyze, diagnose, and resolve system issues and document all findings and solutions Collaborate with analysts, programmers, and application teams in development and support environments Test and assist in the development of technical documentation for software and hardware deployments Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and work within Microsoft, Novell, and Unix operating environments Identify and resolve hardware malfunctions and provide recommendations for equipment replacements or upgrades Maintain accurate records of support activities, including service requests, problem resolution steps, and time tracking

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of current experience in a desktop support role Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of Microsoft, Novell, and Unix operating systems Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills Ability to identify and correct hardware and software issues efficiently Familiarity with remote support tools and VPN technologies Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple support tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or

Microsoft Certified:
