Key Responsibilities Deployment /
Configuration Tasks:
Installation and configuration of: Servers, Server Appliances Network Switches and Routers Power Distribution Units (PDUs) up to 3
KVA KVM Units, Access Points Cabling:
Ethernet, Fiber, Power Patch Panel Termination and Cable Management Physical installation, rack and stack, labeling, asset tagging In-scope moves/adds/changes (IMAC) Break-Fix /
Technical Support Tasks:
Power cycling, rebooting routers, servers, and storage devices Whole unit replacement and component-level swap-outs Diagnosing network and hardware failures Fiber cleaning and diagnostics using
OTDR, LSPM, VFL
Remote access setup and loopback testing Assist with troubleshooting and escalation procedures Operations /
Field Coordination:
Coordinate arrival times with site contacts Complete installation and decommissioning tasks Provide detailed task completion reports and documentation Carry appropriate tools and gear (laptop, diagnostic tools, cables) Follow SOPs, ticketing procedures, and client instructions Qualifications and Requirements Proven experience with rack and stack, IMAC, and structured cabling Ability to troubleshoot and replace defective hardware and cables Familiarity with
TCP/IP, OSI
model, and basic networking tools Tools like OTDR, LSPM, and VFL strongly preferred Understanding of infrastructure hardware including legacy and current tech Strong attention to detail, customer service skills, and reliability Willingness to travel locally or regionally for onsite assignments Preferred Skills / Keywords Field Technician Data Center Technician Network Technician Break-Fix Support IMAC Support Rack and Stack Structured Cabling Fiber Optic Troubleshooting
