General Summary:

Unum is seeking motivated individuals to join our IT team as IT Associates. This entry-level position is designed to provide comprehensive training and hands-on experience in software development within an Agile environment. Over a period of 9 to 12 months, you will work closely with experienced professionals, learning various languages, applications, and platforms utilized by Unum’s IT groups. Upon successful completion of the training period, you will transition to the role of Test Engineer I. This is a Hybrid on-campus requirement in Chattanooga, TN only.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience. 0 to 2 years of IT-related experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Agile development methodologies. Excellent communication skills and a strong team player. Self-motivated with a focus on quality delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in the analysis, design, construction, testing, and delivery of software-based solutions. Collaborate with team members and managers to test features and maintain applications. Engage in Agile practices, including daily standups, sprint retrospectives, and code reviews. Embrace learning opportunities and contribute ideas for continuous improvement. #LI-TO1 ~IN1 #

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience. $52,000.00-$101,000.00 Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not. All benefits are subject to the terms and conditions of individual Plans.
