ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
IT support specialist provides technical IT assistance to the organization. Duties will include ensuring optimal use of hardware and software technologies, enhancing system performance, and securing data.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the major responsibilities including: Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone) Setting up accounts for new users Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary Testing new technology Training end-users on hardware functionality and software programs. Collaborate with other IT group colleagues with local and US projects Other duties may be assigned. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or similar. 4-5 years of experience as an IT support specialist. Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve queries. In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks. Ability to determine IT needs and train end-users. Experience in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics. Advanced knowledge of database maintenance and system security. Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in IT support.
