Monday through Thursday 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. (16 hours/week)

Pay:

$30/hour

Minimum Qualifications:

Technical Diploma or Associates degree in computer science or related field from a regionally accredited college
Minimum of three (3) years of information technology
Experience in use of Windows and Linux operating systems, specifically Windows 10 & 11, Windows Server 2016, 2019, & 2022, Microsoft Azure, and Ubuntu
Demonstrated abilities in a variety of information technology services
Ability to exercise good judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions
Possess valid TN driver’s license
Willing to travel as needed

General Duties:

This position will help ensure the stable operation of the computer networks and educational courseware products across all campuses. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. The position will also analyze and resolve end-user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user training where required. The IT Specialist reports to the President and is responsible for helping support the information technology needs on the campus along with supporting other evening institutional needs. Key Responsibilities

  • Essential Job Functions The IT Specialist is responsible to perform the following: PC support
  • purchasing, setup, troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and other support
    Network maintenance
  • troubleshooting and routine maintenance
    Website maintenance
    General application software support
    Microsoft Cloud services support such as Teams and One Drive
    Google Cloud services support
    Recommend and support purchasing of IT-related equipment
    IT asset management
  • asset tag and inventory
    Develop and maintain IT procedures as needed
    Support and troubleshooting of the digital signs
    User ID management
    Work with the Tennessee Board of Regents as needed
    Perform environmental monitoring of Data Center
    COE accreditation and IT audit support
    Data entry and scanning to support the institution
    Proctoring tests when needed
    Serving as the lead for Accessibility efforts for the institution
    Other duties as assigned Background checks will be completed on all new hires.

Employees will be asked to sign a background release authorizing TCAT

  • McMinnville to complete a background check which will include the following: Sex Offender Registry, County Criminal & Federal Criminal.

 Commensurate with experience, education and training according to Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines.
