Job:
The Desktop Support Specialist supports company personnel and their use of end-user computing devices such as PCs, tablets, phones, and printers. The specialist supports user needs and follows company processes through all device lifecycle phases including requirements, procurement, build, deployment, support, and asset retirement
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide quality technical support to users in-person and remotely through phone, chat, or remote desktop tools. Provide guidance to end-users on how to use computer systems and software efficiently, and how to receive technology support as part of new user onboarding. Purchase, configure, deploy, and support end-user computing devices and peripherals, including routine maintenance and repairs. Leverage provided helpdesk ticketing system and maintain accurate records of work performed. Enforce IT policies and procedures to maintain compliance with company processes and standards. Work collaboratively with other IT professionals and departments to address complex technical issues and deliver company projects. Identify re-occurring technical issues and propose sustainable solutions to prevent user disruption. Perform review and consultation for end user IT Equipment requests Provide assistance to end-users in resolving hardware and software issues with desktops, laptops, and peripherals. Diagnose and resolve technical problems, including hardware malfunctions, software errors, and network issues. Comply with PC Lifecycle program, ordering/refreshing/reusing assets for new corporate employees Deliver specialized transition services for corporate and facility executives.
Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; some college or technical school coursework preferred. Experience in desktop support with multi-site locations preferred. Problem solver and tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases, basic network troubleshooting techniques and remote access applications. Knowledge of system administration, LAN, Microsoft AD and Azure environments. Strong understanding and working knowledge of Active Directory, exchange mailbox administration, group polices (within AD). Focus on customer service and quality. Why Summit Healthcare Mgmt?
