Full-Time, Permanent Direct Hire Role Position Overview:
The Reliability Manager will be responsible for identifying and managing asset reliability risks that could impact plant operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring the reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety systems. The scope includes loss elimination, risk management, life cycle asset management, and oversight of capital projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Define, design, and refine asset maintenance plans, including: Value-added preventive maintenance tasks Utilization of predictive and non-destructive testing methodologies Develop engineering solutions for recurring failures or issues affecting plant performance (capacity, quality, cost, or compliance) Utilize methodologies such as Statistical Process Control, Fault Tree Analysis, Six Sigma, RCA, and RCFA Partner with project and area engineering teams to ensure reliability in new and modified installations Oversee the Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM) process from design through commissioning Evaluate and participate in the selection of equipment suppliers and technical service providers Guide testing and inspection processes, including factory and site acceptance testing Analyze and track asset metrics such as utilization, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), and remaining useful life Support production, maintenance, and technical teams with data-driven decision-making Apply value analysis to support repair vs. replace and make vs. buy decisions Other responsibilities as assigned by the
General Manager Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience 8+ years of maintenance and/or reliability experience in fixed plant equipment Background in industrial or manufacturing environments (forest products industry preferred) Proven project management and supervisory experience Strong understanding of preventive maintenance tools (e.g., vibration analysis, oil monitoring, thermography) Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant maintenance software Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CMMS systems Familiarity with mill processes and equipment Strong understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and circulating systems Demonstrated initiative with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset Effective organizational and planning skills Strong team collaboration and leadership abilities Sirius Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
