The SPY-6 Family of Radars (FoR) is seeking a highlymotivated and collaborative Principal Infrastructure SystemsEngineer to play a pivotal role in the development andimplementation of our tactical operating systems, networking, andcommercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software across our FoR. You willbe instrumental in configuring and integrating RedHat as ourprimary operating system, alongside Windows systems, within asophisticated Layer 3 network environment.

• As a key member of ourteam, you can expect to be involved in all phases of the systemsdevelopment life cycle, applying rigorous Configuration Managementpractices and utilizing problem tracking systems to implementcritical OS-level configurations that directly support ourapplications and stringent Secure Systems Engineering (SSE)requirements.

Furthermore, this role includes excitingopportunities for system installation and operational support inthe field. You will be empowered to leverage your expertise toprovide practical and innovative solutions to complex technicalsoftware and hardware challenges.

This is an on-site positionlocated in Marlborough, Massachusetts.

What You will

Do:

Configure and install RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operatingsystems. Configure and install network switches from leading vendorssuch as Dell and Cisco. Set up and manage other essential network devices (e.g., NASdevices, terminal servers) to meet critical program systemrequirements. Drive and contribute to the support and continuous improvementof our DevSecOps pipeline. This includes actively identifyingopportunities for integration and test automation, developingcreative solutions to streamline processes, and eliminatingnon-value-added steps. Demonstrate the initiative and composure to effectively handleemergency situations that may disrupt the pipeline, ensuring swiftand efficient resolution. Join collaborative team setting, actively contributing yourexpertise, and working seamlessly with engineers of all levels toachieve shared goals. Utilize strong analytical skills to debug and resolve stabilityissues across our various software baselines. Conduct thorough integration and testing of real-time embeddedsoftware, application software, and tools operating on a Linuxplatform. Take ownership of the maintenance and enhancement of ourcritical tooling infrastructure. Embrace potential opportunities for domestic and internationaltravel to support program objectives.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology,Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years ofrelevant experience. Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, andBash. Must possess the ability to obtain and maintain a US securityclearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens areeligible for a security clearance. Experience with Configuration Management tools, includingClearCase, Git, or similar systems. Experience working with Linux operating systems. Experience with Dell OS and Cisco IOS platforms.

Onsite:

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will workprimarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenanceemployees, as they are essential to the development of ourproducts.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD

• 203,000USD.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimaterepresentative of all experience levels. RTX considers severalfactors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, therole, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s workexperience, location, education/training, and key skills.
