Permanent Location Bethesda, MD Overview:
– Supervise, coordinate and/or perform additions andchanges to network hardware and operating systems, and attacheddevices, including investigation, analysis, recommendation,configuration, installation, and testing of new network hardwareand software. Provide direct support in the day-to-day operationson network hardware and operating systems including the evaluationof system utilization, monitoring response time and primary supportfor detection and correction of operational problems. Troubleshootthe physical level of the network, working with network measurementhardware and software, as well as physical checking and testing ofhardware devices at the logical level working with communicationprotocols. Participate in planning design, technical review andimplementation for new network infrastructure hardware and networkoperating systems for voice and data communication networks.
Maintain network infrastructure standards including networkcommunication protocols such as TCP/IP. Provide technicalconsultation, training and support to IT staff as designated by thegovernment. Diagnose and resolve complex communicationproblems.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree or seven (7) years of experience in the field The following certifications and skillset are Microsoft MSCE, Windows Server OS, IIS, PowerShell, System CenterOperation and Configuration Management, Microsoft Azure Administration Microsoft Azure DevOps AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Professional VMware Data Center Virtualization (DCV) Design or Deploy Nutanix Platform Expert (NPX) IBM BigFix Lifecycle Administration Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management (ITIL) v3 orhigher CompTIA Security+ Certified Professional Excellent oral and written communication skills Public Trust Tier2 security clearance- Moderate risk (formerly MBILevel 5B)
