Tyto Athene is searching for a Senior Systems Engineer to support a law enforcement customer in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities:
Support infrastructure systems on Windows-based platforms
Support and maintain high availability, distributed, multi-clustered server infrastructure and systems
Responsible for server infrastructure analysis, optimization, and capacity planning
Accountable for system administration, identity and authentication, information system security accreditation, data storage and backup, physical infrastructure maintenance, and automation development
Technical writing/creation of formal documentation such as architecture diagrams, technical designs, and
SOPs Required:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or other related field, and at least eight (8) years of experience (with six (6) years of related, specialized technical experience)
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience. Master’s Degree may be substituted for 2 years of general work experience.
Experience with supporting, operating and maintaining a 24/7 mission-critical data center infrastructure
Must have a working knowledge of:
Microsoft Windows, Active Directory
Understanding of
NIST 800
series publications and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance
Desired:
VMWare vSphere 7 experience
